Restoration Gateway envisions joining in the work of God in Uganda as one of many institutions helping further the redemptive process lead there by Jesus. Restoration Gateway will be a model and reproducible community with key components including:
- homes for orphaned children in Uganda
- an educational program that will include a seminary for Bible teaching
- a healthcare institution to provide ministry to the sick, as well as teaching for physicians, dentists, nurses, and other healthcare workers
- a camp for children and a retreat for Ugandan pastors
- agricultural and fishery projects to help the subsistence of the community
- guest quarters for visitors interested in the future of Uganda and in Restoration Gateway.
The project is presently under the administrative leadership of an ecumenical body of Christians and under the spiritual guidance of Antioch Community Church of Waco, Texas. Tim and Janice McCall, previous missionaries to Nigeria for 10 years, preside over the project, and Tim is scheduled to move to the area in January, 2007 to begin the first phase of building, to be joined soon thereafter by Janice.
